Cooking Instructions

4-6 Servings
• 250 ml (1cup) of wholegrain long-grain brown rice. Uncooked.
• 750 ml (3cups) water
• 3 – 5 ml (half – 1 teaspoon) salt

STOVE TOP
Bring wholegrain long-grain brown rice, water and salt to the boil
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 35 – 40 minutes, until all the water has been absorbed.

MICROWAVE
Place wholegrain long-grain brown rice, water and salt in a suitable microwaveable dish. Microwave uncovered for 5 – 6 minutes on a high setting. Reduce power to a medium setting and microwave for 30 – 35 minutes. Allow standing for 5 minutes before serving.

For softer wholegrain long-grain brown rice, add more water and simmer for an additional 5 – 10 minutes. Drain water before serving.
